salesman posed in a Wright Biplane; postcard mailed AUG 14 1912 to publicize his
imminent arrival at The Hopgood Drug Store in Warren Ohio. Contact information
on back & a list of the products he represented: Wm. R. Warner & Co.; Pfeiffer
Chemical Company; Fred Wright, Perfumer; Mellier High Class Perfumes; The Searle
& Hereth Company; Carter Family Medicines; & Kickapoo Family Remedies. This
salesman really got around the state; we find many mentions of him in trade
publications (such as the Midland Druggist & Interstate Druggist) when we use
Chas. & Charles from 1907 to 1915. But this postcard is the only paper
memorabilia of any kind we could find when we searched the Internet. Sold but
both

With the glass, we see a man in blackface, a hobo, a clown, a cowboy... Stamp removed
clumsily from the back, causing some paper separation that did not go through to the
front. The lower right corner is creased (small). In the area of the window at the upper
left are 3 about 1-inch-long paper cracks, possibly caused by the stamp removal. $30.00

of Northbrook). Recounts her mysticism & life, exceptionally rapid

a flowery hat, some letters obsured by it so we filled in what is shown here

in one of the hat projections. Apparently the pharmacist hired a quality
artist to cut these quickly for prominent customers, and then pasted the
work onto their advertising postcards. Rare: we could find nothing like it
on the Internet -- displayed or offered. The quality of the art is so
realistic that you would swear you could extrapolate some of her facial
