NATIONAL AIRLINES (USA). Unused continental postcard showing its Lockheed L-1049H Super Constellation (N7133C) flying over mountains, from a Lockheed Aircraft Corporation photo, minor edge wear at top. This historic aircraft was later used in the Biafran Airlift of 1969 to eastern Nigeria, and was abandoned at Sao Tome where it remains derelict. $8.50 asn* NIGERIA AIRWAYS. Unused continental post card showing its Fokker F-27-200 (5N-AAW) flying over water, near mint. On April 25 1977, while flying for this airline, this aircraft crashed on landing at Sokoto Airport and was written off. There were no fatalities. $8.50 an*

"Nigerians of Pankshin bring in Guinea corn, variety of sorghum" Well-done home-made (and, hence, unique) postcard mailed 1962 in US. $1.50 * UAT - AEROMARITIME / UNION AÉROMARITIME DE TRANSPORT (France). Continental black & white photograph of its DeHavilland DH-114 parked, good focus & contrast & composition. A small independent airline that connected Paris to the former French African colonies 1949 - 1963. In November 1967, during the Nigerian-Biafran War, it crashed at Enugu (Énugwú).
