"CORIETZ, RUSSIAN GUN-BOAT, & A TRANSPORT" with side view of her mostly submerged, also captioned in 2 oriental languages, unused carte postale, very light toning both sides due to album contact, good edges. The aged ship (often spelled Korietz) was sunk near the beginning of the Russo-Japanese on February 9 1904 off the coast of what is now Inchon Korea. $11.50 ks(m)rj

"FORMOSA CRISIS / THREATENS MILLIONS / IN KOREA!!" US 2-c postal card sent FEB 14 1955 from Seattle, printed appeal for funding to enable 500,000 religious booklets to be sent to Korea by The Life Messengers, corner crease & a little cancel ink on front. At the time an invasion by Communist Chinese was though imminent by some. $5.00 ktrhwc
"Gun Boat Woosong No. 49" showing a Korean warship with a nearby junk, circa-1907 unused hand-colored postcard with unevenly divided back, both upper corners creased, all corners rounded with wear, long internal crease parallels the right front side. Rare: ours has the GN logo in the stamp box & was the only colorized we could find on the Internet; the closest we could come to it was only one not colorized version (so not as nice) with the same image printed by T. "Heroes of the Korean War" continental postal card advertising the issuance & availability of a Marshall Islands five-dollar coin, mailed MAR 19 1997 with it 20-cent indicia portraying a sailing canoe, 2 small shallow scrapes near one back edge from postal equipment, otherwise fresh. $1.50 mkn-m
"HL1ASS" continental shortwave (28 MHz) QSL postcard used 1989 by operator Hahn Dong-Hee at the Korean Antarctic Station on King George Island (South Shetlands, British Antarctic Territory). View on front is a Jeju / Jejoo Island landscape done by artist Park Zin-Kyung. Call sign on back is HL5BDS. Two tiny corner creases & a tiny ding in one edge. SUMNER CLASS DESTROYER USS DOUGLAS H. FOX (DD-779), showing her at a dock, uncaptioned & unused real photo post card with glossy finish, minor corner wear. Launched in 1944, she saw action in the Battle of Okinawa, shooting down 7 attacking aircraft. Later served extensively off Korea, such as in the 1952 bombardment of Wonsan. Still later served in a variety of duties in the Gulf of Tonkin during the Vietnam War. Earned 2 battle stars. Hard to find!
