"Horse and Buggy Parking Lot QUINCY, MICHIGAN Photo by John Penrod" unused continental post card which refers to the Indiana Amish on the back, scalloped borders as issued, unusual subject matter. $1.25
"J. C. & W. DUNCAN / DRUGS & HARDWARE" the millinery store next door & several Amish buggies in front of both; uncaptioned (so we used the signage) sepia-tone real photo postcard with good focus & contrast, good edges. The August 1903 issue of the Western Druggist notes that 'C. D. Worthington has purchased the drug store at Killbuck formerly owned by J. C. & W. Duncan'. Quite possibly one-of-a-kind: no printed caption, no publisher information & no photographer attribution. Sold but front side still available for scholarly study & research as an enlarged 300-dpi scan (publication quality) in .jpg format for $3.75. o(k)ha

"Pensylvania(sic) Dutch bill- / of-fare at their festival" well done home-made (and, hence, unique) post card mailed 1962 from Smithmill Pennsylvania (2 different cancels, one faint). We learn from the signage that the Women's Guild of Zion's Church in Windsor Castle served up schwatzie crumbera sup, kase kustard, shoo fly pie mit noss buddam, schlopp (milich) kucha & koffy -- with English translations provided. Much more interesting than the typical Amish postcard. $2.50 afp(w)
